SAFETY COMPLIANCE & QUALITY STANDARDS

Safety is Totex’s #1 priority when developing batteries and charging solutions for our customers.

Safety Compliance & Quality Standards

The compliance certification landscape is continually evolving and becoming more stringent. Obtaining the proper compliance certifications can take several months and be quite costly, so ensuring your battery and charger will meet the testing requirements is crucial.

Whether it is a transportation certification that is required for your battery to be transported on an aircraft or a safety compliance certification specific to medical devices.

Totex has the experience and know-how to ensure your battery and charger have the latest certifications required for anywhere in the world your device will be sold. Most countries have their own specific compliance certification requirements for batteries and chargers, so knowing what certifications apply to your device is important and can help save costs over the life of your product.

In order to help save our customers the time and money associated with using a 3rd party lab to conduct the necessary safety certification testing, Totex has been authorized by UL to participate in their Client Test Data Program (CTDP) and test our customer’s batteries and chargers to the latest UL standards in-house.

This allows us to minimize the overall cost of obtaining UL compliance certification for our customer’s batteries and our customers no longer have to depend on a 3rd party lab to find an available time for testing. The Totex facility in Torrance, CA also has an FDA-registered manufacturing line which provides value to our medical customers whose devices will undergo FDA approval.
